When independence of Lithuania was restored at the beginning of the century, serious attention was paid to the development of the state economy. A major part of industrial sectors were created just from scratch. Vegetable oil sector was one of them. Linseed that was grown up by the Lithuanian farmers was exported abroad at those times as raw material for the production of oil. Then Lithuania was buying oil produced from the same linseed in the foreign countries for the prices several times higher. In order to change this situation the joint-stock oil production company RINGUVA was founded by the Ministry of Finance,Trade and Industry and the signatories of the Independence Act M.Yčas, J.Šliupas,V.Gaigalaitis, A.Vosylius and V.Račkauskas.The goal of it was not only to found an ordinary company that would generate profit.It was also an important and courageous step at the level of the whole country proving to our own people and foreign countries, that Lithuania is able to produce high quality oil rather than just to export raw material.

Most important events

1920 05 14 Joint-stock oil production company RINGUVA is established by the Order of the President A.Smetona.

1932 The joint-stock company LIETUVOS MUILAS is founded (renamed to PANEVEŽIO MUILAS in 1990).

1933 Products of RINGUVA are awarded Grand Prix and gold medal in Paris.

1939 RINGUVA extends its production and starts production of soap.

1948 RINGUVA is nationalized and integrated into the State Oil, Fat and Tobacco Trust, after one decade its name is changed into the Kaunas Soap Factory.

1993 Primary stage of privatization is carried out, and the enterprise is transformed into joint-stock company.

1996 Company's orientation is changed (from production to marketing),its restructuring is started.

1998 Majority interest of PANEVEŽIO MUILAS is acquired.

2001 AB NAUJOJI RINGUVA entered PLMA (World Private Trademarks Producer Association).

The production department in Kaunas was closed and the manufacture was concentrated in Panevezys production department.

2003 Head office of AB NAUJOJI RINGUVA moved from Kaunas to Panevezys.

2004 Cosmetic soap Linea HERBAL with calendula  recognised as  Lithuanian produсt of the year.

Since 2000 AB Naujoji Ringuva has been operating according to the Quality Management System ISO. In December 2006 it has been recertified according to ISO 9001:2000 (certified by Bureau Veritas Quality International). The quality management system guarantees a continuous control and improvement of quality of the products and the processes. Quality orientated management enables the company to satisfy needs and expectations of both internal and external customers and partners as well as to seek for its competitiveness.
